The ability to effectively evaluate your own and other brewers’ beers, allows you to become a better brewer. It is a learned skill, the more you practice the better you’ll get.

Helderberg Homebrew Club (HHC) competitions may be adjudicated by qualified BJCP judges OR independent, non-BJCP judges OR all interested club members in “people’s choice” competitions OR a combination of these. The club developed a Google Forms-based e-scoresheet for people’s choice judging that aligns with the BJCP scoring system and allows for an efficient and accurate judging process on competition days.
